Alveoloplasty

Alveoloplasty

Alveoloplasty is a surgical procedure in dentistry that reshapes and smooths the jawbone (alveolar ridge) after tooth extraction, reducing sharp edges and irregularities. It creates a stable, even foundation for dentures, partials, or dental implants, usually performed at the time of extraction to ensure better fit, comfort, and faster healing.

When is alveoloplasty needed
